Stunning pair of large intricately carved wooden horses in a prancing pose from the Tang Dynasty. A superb piece of Chinese folk art, featuring a hand painted gold overlay with antique red and green accents on the ceremonial saddle and bridle. The horses are mounted on rectangular platforms. These horses are impressive and will make quite a statement. Circa: 20th Century Dimensions: H 40" (wihtout platform) W 40.5” D 13” Platform H 1.5” W 20” D 12"
