Weight: 6.7 grams Dimensions: 54mm x 31mm Diamond: Approx. 0.05 carats, Colour: F, Clarity: VS Marked: GRIMA Hallmarked: AG ltd, London, 18ct, 1979 Period: Vintage, Circa. 1970s Here we have a wonderful and rare brooch from the master jeweller Andrew Grima. The brooch is in the form of a leaf and the casting process for this item would have been highly complex in order to replicate the precise detail of a natural leaf. The first of these textured leaf brooches was created by Grima in 1947, and the concept was so successful that he occasionally created inspired examples over the next several decades. This particular brooch is set with a single round brilliant cut diamond and fully hallmarked to the year 1979.
